Global Demand for Hydraulic Breakers Surges Amid Construction Boom!
May 20,2025
The global market for hydraulic breakers is experiencing significant growth in 2025, fueled by rising infrastructure development and increased mining activity across Asia, North America, and the Middle East.
According to a recent industry report by Global Equipment Insights, the hydraulic breaker market is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 6.3% through 2030, driven by demand for heavy-duty demolition tools in road construction, tunneling, and urban redevelopment projects.
Manufacturers such as Atlas Copco, JCB, and Epiroc are expanding their product lines with advanced, energy-efficient models that offer greater durability, reduced noise levels, and improved compatibility with modern excavators. Many of the latest breakers also feature smart sensors and telematics to help operators monitor usage and prevent equipment failure.
“Construction companies are looking for reliable and powerful tools to meet tighter deadlines and environmental regulations,” said Linda Moore, Senior Analyst at Global Equipment Insights. “Hydraulic breakers have become essential in modern job sites due to their efficiency in breaking rock, concrete, and other hard materials.”
Recent infrastructure initiatives, such as the U.S. Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and China’s Belt and Road projects, are contributing to a sharp rise in equipment orders. Meanwhile, rental companies are investing in larger fleets of hydraulic breakers to meet short-term demand spikes in emerging markets.
With technology continuing to evolve and demand remaining strong, the hydraulic breaker sector is poised to remain a key component of the heavy machinery industry well into the next decade.
